Common Ground is lucky to have such wonderful interns to help us. This fall, we have two BSW students from the University of Missouri. Learn more about them here:

Bailey is a senior social work major at the University of Missouri. Bailey will graduate with her bachelor’s degree in December and is excited to see what the next chapter of her life will bring. Over her 3 ½ years at the University of Missouri, Bailey has been committed to developing herself as a leader, and is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential. She has always been passionate about the field of social work, and she loves that Common Ground allows her to work with so many different individuals and agencies within the Jefferson City community. Bailey plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work after taking a year off to travel full-time as a leadership consultant with a national PanHellenic conference. Bailey’s dream job is to work in higher education, and advocate for inclusive policies on behalf of students to ensure that all students have access to mental health and wellness resources.

Hannah Stillman is a senior social work student at the University of Missouri. Hannah will graduate mid-December with a degree in social work and a multicultural certificate. After graduation, she plans on moving back to Saint Louis and joining the job market. She plans to pursue a Masters in Social Work in the Fall of 2019. Hannah selected Common Ground Community Building to submerge herself in a community that is outside of her own. She has enjoyed becoming familiar with the community and the various resources in the area. Hannah came to Common Ground to pursue her passion of helping and advocating for those who are experiencing homelessness. Some of Hannah’s interests include biking, jogging, going to various music festivals and gardening. While being a student at the University of Missouri Hannah has been an advocate and educator of sexual health rights and knowledge. When she is able, Hannah enjoys volunteering in the community through various avenues.
